Ring In The New Year With A Petcurean Premium Pet Food Contest

by Mary Haight on December 29, 2013

petcurean premium pet foodThe Petcurean family has signaled the go-ahead for another contest to win two months of Petcurean premium pet food for dogs — what a great way to close the Christmas Season and ring in the New Year!

If you’re resting after the month-long festivities, right about now you might be missing the mouth-watering scent of baking cookies tickling your nose. If I’m right, perhaps you’d like to wrap up the year with this recipe for a gingerbread dog house (template for a gingerbread cat tree also available) compliments of Petcurean — you and your furry friends can “savour the season”! (If you make one, I’d love to see it — please share it on my FB page!)

Now for some more good news, if you’d like to try one of the Petcurean premium pet food recipes for dogs (and cats) you can get a coupon sent when you visit the site — the trial size is free.

On to the contest: In keeping with the season, please let us know via comment below what are your hopes for you and your dog in the New Year? Is it training for a specific behavior or activity? Making new friends? Finding the right dog walker, pet sitter, vet? Taking and sharing more photographs? Maybe it’s spending more quality time together! Whatever your hope is, share it. Maybe we can inspire each other ;)

Contest ends New Year’s Eve at 11:59 — I’ll announce the winner New Year’s Day. Good luck!

U.S. and Canadian residents are eligible, must be at least 18 years old.

Privacy Policy: Dancing Dog blog uses information gathered here strictly for this contest and communications necessary for this purpose. That is all. No sharing (except with Petcurean of course), no spam, no selling of information.

Winner has 48 hours to claim their prize publicly by acknowledgement in the comments, or an alternate winner will be chosen. All decisions are final.

I had a record number of sweet fosters adopted last year! (all pound puppies/strays) My REAL wish is that one day there will be no need for rescue groups, but we all know that will never happen. Therefore, I will wish that record numbers of folks choose to adopt in 2014!

my hope for the new year is that Granite is still able to enjoy life and his new cart. He was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor and lost the use of his back legs and partial left side but it hasn't stopped him from loving life.

I would like my foster dog Onyxx to find a good home and to spend more time with Mr. N hiking, training and doing sports.

My hope for my oldest dog is that his underwater treadmill therapy helps and his mobility will increase. Thanks!

This year I would like to spend more time with my dog. Last year was such a gong show and we really didn't do much together. It's kind of depressing. So I would just like to dedicate more time to doggy togetherness in general, whether it is training, playing, walking, dog sports, grooming, whatever.

Thanks for another giveaway!

My New Year's resolution for myself and my two senior beagles, Franklin and Merli is to walk more each day.

I would also like to get Merli's poop eating problem under control...lol.

My goal is to have my frenchie pup house broke quickly.  lol  We are working on it but she is only 7 weeks old.

My goal for the new year is to help my 12-year-old Boston Terrier, Willy, become more mobile. He has back problems so I'm looking at special harnesses to help him out. I also want to get him in for more acupuncture treatments and perhaps a regimen of herbal treatments and massage. :)

My hopes for my dogs ...Schooner and myself to lose a few pounds and be as active or should I say as hyper as Skipper.  To feed my dogs healthy food and treats.  Go for more walks and car rides.  Enjoy life and have fun.

Hi, Mary, as a Swiss citizen I am not eligible for the contest so I am commenting "hors concours"! I will be welcoming a 9 months old puppy in our home today and I am so excited. My wish for him is to enjoy a fully lived dog life: happy and balanced, long walks, meeting and socialising with other dogs. I have lost Chica, my faithful companion of more than 13 years, in August and still miss her terribly.

Welcome 2014 and Roco (I will post pictures), wishing you a happy and prosperous New Year!

The gingerbread houses are so cool!! How awesome, to include our pets in our fun traditions :) For the new year, I'm looking forward to some exciting changes which will include a new home - CindyLu will have the opportunity to make new friends!

Our dachshund's resolution should be to improve his breath! I guess that means that my resolution should be to brush his teeth more often. Our hound puppy's resolution is to become more independent, and our resolution for her is to leave her out of her crate more often when we're gone, since she's been so well-behaved when left alone.

The dogs and I will be working on losing weight and walking more often and with a higher frequency. This frigid cold weather is taking a toll on our ability to get out and it shows. Thanks for the chance to win Mary.

I do have training goals for this year.  :-D  One is to get my dogs to walk on the leash without pulling and the other is to help them learn to greet other dogs properly. Thank goodness there are 12 months in a year!!

@Late_BloomersI'm so sorry for your recent loss of Chica -- facing the end of their all-too-short lives is the most difficult part of loving our furry family members. Please send me a note when you post your pics of Roco -- I would love to see him!

Thanks for the good wishes for the New Year and may you and yours enjoy a 2014 full of love, happiness, good health, and prosperity!

@CaseyI use Ark Naturals in his water...my guy is too old to put under anesthesia, so baking soda on gauze and this powder in the water is my regimen, I also put coconut oil (organic, big jar at Whole Foods for 12.99) in his food every day -- besides the essential fatty acids it provides, it also fights bacteria =) (No, I don't represent any of these companies in my social media and content management capacity!)

Glad to heard the training is going well and your doxy will soon have rule, er, run of the house! Thanks for your entry

@MelFThanks for entering, Mel! This cold weather is a real taskmaster and interferes with all our plans...same here! I hope you find a space in the day when the wind doesn't sap you and your pups of all your energy =)

@HeartLikeADogHa re the 12 months! Pulling is bad for humans and inappropriate greetings with other dogs can end up be painful for your pups -- best of luck with that =)

Thanks for entering the contest!

@Jill C Great to think about keeping dogs fit throughout the winter months, Jill -- then they can bound into Spring with abandon =) Barking often gets worse in the winter, if you live where you get four seasons...that's a great task to tackle! Thanks for your contest entry.
