pet food recall Eukanuba, IamsUpdate: The Fox News story repeated here about the death of 3 dogs and the sickening of 3 more  in Ohio at the Pet Spot Premiere Pet Resort in Norwood was corrected on-air as being unrelated to the Eukanuba Iams recall.

It was indeed HGE (Hemorrhagic GastroEnteritis) that killed the three dogs, but representatives of P&G stressed it was NOT connected to the Eukanuba, Iams recall, dog foods the Pet Spot feeds its client’s dogs. Other sickened dogs were unrelated according to Steve Dale’s update.

The lab is not sure of the cause of illness, and the Pet Spot is working with State Veterinarians and the Department of Agriculture. No tests for infectious disease have come back positive at this time.
