Mountain Dog Amazing Versatile Leash and a Contest!

by Mary Haight on November 28, 2011

Mountain Dog Versatile LeashMountain Dog Versatile LeashMountain Dog Company and their leashes will always be above the competition. Strength and time-tested over the mountains of the world, Mountain Dog leashes are made in the USA of repurposed climbing rope.  You get a whole new sense of certainty about the lifetime guarantee. Hundreds of mountain climbers have bet their lives on them!

The Amazing Versatile Leash is Mountain Dog’s newest design and brings you the ultimate in flexible use. Want a hands-free dog walking experience? Simply wrap the leash around one shoulder across your chest, clip it at your waist to the floating “o” ring and clip the other end of the leash to the dog’s collar. You can wrap and clip it around your waist, too, for a nice jog with your dog. The Amazing Versatile Leash is 7’  long, and you can use the two clips on either end, tie a knot in the middle, you have a handle to walk two dogs at a time, or clip both ends on one dog for a short 45″ leash.

Mountain Dog Amazing Versatile Leash – Win One

Let’s have a little fun and enter to win Mountain Dog’s versatile leash valued at $34.95.  Just leave a comment below and one of these leashes could be your stocking stuffer, or a friend’s!  Who couldn’t use such a great gift?  It comes with a lifetime warranty – if you have a dog that chews through the leash, send them the pieces and Mountain Dog will send a replacement;) It’s a green product made in the US without fears of sweatshop labor or any carbon-intensive recycling processes.  They hand inspect each rope to ensure quality, and then gently wash them with an eco-friendly soap.

One entry per person please, and Random.org will choose the winner. If there are more than 16 entries, I will add another freebie into the mix, and pay the postage (something I never do as a matter of policy, but it’s Christmas!) on one of the review leashes I have.

The contest will close Dec 4 11:59 CST, and the winner will be announced on this blog the afternoon of Monday, Dec 5th.  Your odds of winning are really good!  Leave a comment below to enter.

If you don’t win, you can always go to Mountain Dog Products, check out all the great colors, and even order a custom length cut.

Good luck!

I keep trying new leashes on training clients' dogs and my own dogs, but I can't find the best. Hands-free is a great option, but if a dog pulls on one of the waist-type hands-free leashes, sometimes the human lunges forward! I'd love to try this one out to possibly recommend. And also, for myself so I don't have to worry about holding a leash in my arthritic hands!

I love using hands free leashes in my classes beyond basic training and I could really use a few more. That looks like a great product.

Brilliant! Great use for climbing rope. My friend, Katie-Bar-the-Door, would approve. Katie's passed over the rainbow bridge, and her person is my climbing mentor and friend. Katie was a climbing dog, and have to say she climbed and scrambled better-n-me. Do you wholesale? I think these would be just the ticket for our dhyoga dog (dog and human partner yoga) classes.

Oooh. This could offer some hands-free dog walking! I haven't been able to walk my dogs since I was struck with two painful hand ailments. I'm sensing some new freedom on the horizon. :) Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

There is a great company like this one in my city, actually, and I have been debating making a purchase. Since I am not elligible for your contest, I might have to spend the cash. It's really awesome what some people come up with!

This is a brilliant idea. Some of the trails I hike require me to be hands free. Sometimes I clip the leash to my belt loop but this looks like it would be better.

Of my three dogs, Nick, loves neighborhood leash walks and this would be perfect for both of us! The other two dogs like hiking in the woods, but Nick, a city dog rescue, feels more comfortable being close to me in civilization. I'd love to give this to him for Christmas.

Wow, I've rigged up things like this for myself but I didn't know someone had invented one to sell. It's very cool. I hope I win. And thanks for holding such a simple contest. Some bloggers really make you work for a chance.

You're welcome! And as to the easy entry, it's the holidays - why complicate things:)) There should be some things in life that are not stressful or demanding. I think smart companies notice how people are doing so many different things with their dogs and provide solutions - more fun with dogs and for dogs, safely. Good deal all around! Good luck!
