Pet Products Review, Animal Cafe and FIDO Friendly

pet product reviewMy pet products review podcast with Carol Bryant showcased eight items, many with an outdoor theme for Fall, one of which was the Doodie Pack.

This little gem is a lightweight backpack with a saddlebag design that adjusts to fit from 8-180 lbs dogs, which is pretty amazing in itself.  This made in USA nylon pack has a separate  mesh compartment for your phone, your waste bags, and some treats. There’s also a clip for your keys and reflective piping lines the pack for night time safety.

The large  pockets close with Velco for easy access and a pleat allows the compartments to expand to hold a short light rain jacket, snacks for you both, a first aid kit as long as your dog is not burdened with more than 20-25% of his weight [evenly distributed] according to the manufacturer.  This item is useful for a  little hiking, or long walks and comes in 8 colors. You can also order an embroidered message, like “adopt”, or advertise your company name.

The photo here was taken by the company owner, Kristin Elliott and shows a nice fit of the Doodie Pack on this bigger dog.  Elliott is an Earth Science teacher, which  may explain why her company promotes the use of flushable type waste bags – pretty smart! She also gives back 5% to rescues – something pet lovers like to hear!

We had fun over at Animal Cafe this week with our pet products review show, and I brought the podcast here so you could check out all the items we covered. I don’t believe how fast this year has flown by – it will be the holidays before you know it! I hope you find some useful and fun and well-priced items you want to share with your dog!

[One last thing…we announced that Carol won the Pettie Award for best dog blogger 2011, and she now has her own personal blog here:  Fidose of Reality Enjoy!]
