Special Offer – Save Big Bucks on Custom Pet Food!

Update: Are you a pet food foodie on a budget? Good news! I recently wrote about RedMoon Custom Pet Food, a new dog food company offering fresh dog and cat food and Jason Bailey, President of the company, left this message in the comments area last night:

I thought I would announce to everyone at the Dancing Dog Blog that RedMoon Custom Pet Food is offering a special to purchase a 2.5 Lb trial bag of premium customized nutrition for $9.99. This includes delivery to your door and two free high dosage supplements. Go to www.redmoonpetfood.com to get grain and gluten free pet foods delivered to your door.

In case you didn’t catch the article, here’s the gist:

…uses regionally sourced antibiotic and hormone-free meats, whole raw fruits and vegetables, and slow cook them in small batches to preserve nutrients otherwise lost in high heat commercial cooking methods.  RedMoon products are gluten, grain, soy, wheat, rice and corn-free so allergic reactions are not a concern. The price includes delivery!

Bailey noted “This is custom nutrition delivered. Even our supplements are in doses high enough to get results.

If you wanted to try it, but didn’t want to spend quite so much on a trial food, even with the money back guarantee, here’s your chance:)

If you’ve tried this, what do you think of it?  How about the price?  What’s your take on new foods and is there any information you feel is missing?

I love the concept of being a pet food foodie! I definitely fall into that category. I'm still trying out Stella & Chewy's (not sure yet how I feel about it) but might try RedMoon next.

Assuming that product price relates to quality and not to marketing dollars spent, paying more for better quality food could save even more money with better pet health, fewer vet visits, less mental anguish. Reminds me of the old Fram oil filter commercial: You can pay me now, or pay me later.

This sounds like something to try.
