You may also want to ask dog bloggers to review your products. Many food companies do, especially for cumulative coverage. But check with Whole Dog Journal's policy. They may or may not accept submissions, but it's worth a look:)

Thanks for posting the link to the dog food review sites listing. I work for a manufacturer of a new dog food (made with real food ingredients and no synthetic vitamin/mineral premixes or manmade additives) that really wants to be transparent. The challenge is providing product information/samples to these reviewers as some don't even have contact details and most others haven't responded to info offers sent June/July 2011. The exception is DogAware.com, which has thorough info and listings and responded in less than 24 hours.

(Note: please disregard first comment from other site and post this instead, if approved)

Rod glad you could stop by to comment. I agree with you that we vote with our dollars and it would be great if all dog food met the highest standard. There are however millions of pet owners who can't afford organic and specialty food for those in their charge; they are the majority of dog owners and for them shining the light as many of these review sites do will encourage manufacturers to continually improve the quality of pet food. If you are on Twitter please tweet about this story and the review site.. Thanks

I like the concept. Though I am hearing many bad things about dry and canned dog food (e.g., read last weeks raw diet food posts by the guy over at http://DoggyBytes.ca), it would be great if we could get rid of the worst products. Because we vote with our dollars, an educated consumer is a smart consumer. Thanks for the info - any way to more publicly promote this?
