Kids Love Kittens And Owls

by Craig Daniels on January 7, 2009

Puppies are so darn cute I’m hard pressed to think of anything pulling at the heart strings quite so hard. But of course since I’m writing about it you know that Kittens are just as cute. How can we resist either one when they come running to the front door to greet us all gangly and awkward? Of course we can’t but kittens like puppies can benefit from training and when I ran across a story entitled Kittengarten I knew I had to share it. It’s located in Washington D.C. and as one of the trainers Hanna Lentz states. “Cats don’t raise themselves,” she says. “They don’t instantly love people, they don’t know not to scratch the furniture.” Check out the article and keep loving all those puppies and kittens.

And of course wild animals are cute as buttons on a vest. What child doesn’t want a stuffed animal of a moose, seal, owl or polar bear to hug? And what better way to talk with your children about the importance of saving out wildlife and their habitat then over coco while they snuggle with that stuffed animal. Check out the Wilderness Society’s Blog when you have a moment or National Wildlife Federation, bottom line let’s teach our children to love all animals domestic and wild, it’s the right thing to do.
