What would you say if I told you you could donate for dogs without it costing you any money?  It’s not a scam.  Use the search engine at www.dogpile.com for all your research and each time you do, cash for the ASPCA is allocated for donation.  If you have a website, you can also download the search engine for your visitors use so the $1 Million Dollar target set by the folks at dogpile.com will be met.  If you already read a couple of local shelter websites you may want to let them know about this if they haven’t already heard.

And that reminds me–I know local shelters could use help, so you could check your local dog and cat agency websites to see what they are doing to raise funds, figure out who you’d like to work with, and, in keeping with the ‘donating without spending money’ theme, you may want to donate some time.

Walking a couple of dogs three times a week in the winter is an actual work out for you and the dogs and playing with cats just puts cat people in a good mood!  The health benefits of being with dogs or cats are well known–it’s good for your heart, and fights depression.  It’s fun to work for a good cause, get health benefits for yourself, and create “good buddy” relationships with dogs you walk or cats you go and play with.  And the added benefit of meeting a new network of people working to improve the community could yield new friendships.  What’s not to like?
